All In Productions is holding open auditions for the Wisconsin premiere of One Party Consent by Omer Abbas Salem.

AUDITIONS
Virtual submissions due by August 31st, 2026
Please prepare a one to two minute self tape of a monologue or scene that reflects the character and/or your best work. The monologues do not need to be memorized. If you have something that is not a self tape that shows your best work, you can submit that instead.
The virtual auditions will be reviewed by Adam Qutaishat, Ekene Ikegwuani, AIP Artistic Director Erica Case, and AIP Executive Director Alex Scheurell.

CALLBACKS
In-person callbacks to be held in the evening on September 14th, 2026 with Assistant Director Ekene Ikegwuani, AIP Artistic Director Erica Case, and AIP Executive Director Alex Scheurell in-person and Director Adam Qutaishat present via Zoom. A reader will be provided for you in the room (we will share their name when we are able)
Callbacks will consist of reading of sides from the script.
If you are unable to attend in person callbacks, we can accept taped callbacks or a zoom callback, but you will need to provide your own reader for these options. The deadline for virtual callback options is September 14th at 8pm CST. If you know you need to exercise this option, please notify the team at the time of your initial submission or as soon as you become aware.
REHEARSALS
Saturdays through Wednesday, October 11th – November 4th, 2026
Precise weekend schedule to be determined by actor availability, but typically will be mornings or early afternoons.

PLAY SYNOPSIS
Fola, a MFA Directing candidate goes into their mid-year review with their Dean. Ideological differences on the role of diversity in their academic setting cause tensions to rise. But things take a turn when Fola records and circulates the meeting, leading Dean Healy to Fola report Fola to HR for creating a hostile work environment. Now Fola, Dean Healy, and the university must try to get to the heart of what makes an environment truly unsafe. Omer Abbas Salem’s play forces us to reckon with the roles of race, gender, and generational assumption as it relates to academia and choices we make when we no longer feel safe.
ROLES
All roles will be understudied. All roles and tracks will receive a $400 stipend.
Fola (25-30s, BBIPOC, non-binary)
The nationalities can be changed to anything the actor feels comfortable with. Must be comfortable playing a character who uses they/them pronouns.
Fola enjoys telling you when they know they are right. It’s the only thing they like more than being right. They can get more emotional than they mean to and go harder than they need to. They are inarguably very very good at what they do.
Dean Healy (mid 40s to mid 60s, white, she/her)
She means well. She tries hard. She wants to get it right. But she’s also not used to being corrected this often. She’s run the department for a decade and is the first female department head in the university’s existence. They had to build a women’s restroom on the office floor for her.
Sandra/Ms. Brite (30s, BBIPOC, femme)
Sandra and Ms. Brite are played by the same actor. Must be comfortable playing a character who uses she/her pronouns.
Sandra – The race and the name can be changed to fit the actor. She speaks volumes with how much she withholds. She is not invisible but her job is to be invisible.
Ms. Brite – A person who holds her cards to her chest. She really should work for some fortune 500 company but she works at the university. She is the youngest in her department and probably the smartest. She is an alumnus and has known Dean Healy for many years.
