Falling in love. The comfort of a post-work snack. Dreams of the future. Sharing our family’s recipes. Reckoning with the past. Grappling with our identity and where and if we belong.
ELLIS presents these universal experiences through nine personal stories, poetry, and three recipes from immigrants from the past and present. Combined, they explore the immigrant experience in the U.S. and the shared humanity that unites us all.
All proceeds from this reading will go to support the immigrant advocacy and rights organizations Comité Sin Fronteras and Monarca
